In what could be the turning point in the Blue Jackets season, the Jackets have won 4 straight games, stretching back to December 27, when they beat the Flyers. After beating the Flyers, the Jackets started off a six game road trip by defeating the LA Kings and the Ducks. Tonight, they defeated the Colorado Avalanch 6-1 to stretch not only their win streak to four games but also their rookie golie's win streak.
Steve Mason is just a 20 year-old rookie, who before tonight had a three game shutout streak going which is almost unheard of these days.
The Blue Jackets, with tonights win, have moved into the 8th position in the Western Conference with 40 points. They take on their last place divisional rivals, St. Luis, tomorrow night hoping to extend their win streak to 5 games.
