UFC Is Too Brutal
There has been a lot of discussion lately on the UFC and I think the hype and the sport is overated. From what I have seen while watching the sport it is very brutal and crosses the line. Elbowing a guy in the face as hard as you can and as many times as you can untill he taps out or the ref stops the fight is not fun for me to watch. Watching a guy being chocked until he gives up, or watching a guy literally hump another guy in the ring while trying to punch, elbow or chock his opponent , is not entertaining. Boxing is a great sport because like many have said its a work of art. There are so many different kind of boxers and styles that it makes any fight interesting. I hated the fight Mayweather fought against De La Hoya because he never really brawled with De La Hoya but at the same time I look at Mayweather's fight and the way he won as a beautiful work of art. The accuracy of his punches and his quickness and the fight that he fought was perfect. Boxing matches are not about the most fierce or strongest fighter, it takes more than skill to win a boxing match. Boxing requires a fighter to fight smart and fight a honorable fight for 12 rounds. The UFC just requires a strong, fierce competitor who has the balls to just about kill another guy. There is not art to the UFC. Hopefully, Boxing can weather the storm of fans switching to the UFC because many people like myself still regard Boxing in high esteem in the world of sports and we despise the brutal UFC.
