I am tired of waiting to win, aren't you Reds Fans? Our minor league system has a few really good young arms, its time we use one to get a dependable starter that could help this team make the post-season for he first time in 11 years. The Reds need pitching. The A's want to give you a dependable #2 or #3 starter that will throw over 200 innings and give you 14 wins. Make the Deal! Nobody wants to give up any of our young arms and I understand but if we give up Homer we still have Cueto and Volquez and Maloney. We can afford to give up one of those guys. I am not so sure about giving up one of those and a guy like Joey Votto because that price seems a little steep. If your going to give up one of those guys and Joey Votto give up Maloney because he is the less-mentioned of the 4 prospects. I think I would do that deal.
Reds pitchers and catchers report tomorrow!!! Before you know it the season will be here and the greatest 6 months of the year will begin.
Also the Reds today will be announcing they signed B. Phillips to a long-term deal. Great move!! I think he is the leader of this team and is one of the players that should remain here for their entire career. Just a great player and a great guy to have in your clubhouse. Here's to hoping it is a nice long-term deal that keeps him here for a long time.
