Xavier Poised For Good Season

Today, Xavier point guard Drew Lavender was named a preseason candidate for the award for the best point guard in the nation. Last season Xavier found its' stride late when Drew finally began to come out of his shell in mid season and began to take control of the offense. When Drew plays well Xavier is very hard to beat, just ask Ohio State. It is incredible that he is a preseason candidate for this award and shows where Xavier is on people's radar this preseason. There are high expectation for this year's Xavier team and they will be led by their point guard along with returning sophomore power forward, Derick Brown, senior guard Stanley Burrel, senior forward Josh Duncan, and junior guard B.J. Raymond.
