The Reds lost their 4th straight tonight and first of their three game series with the Philies. Johny Cueto pitched 6 innings and gave up 4 runs. The Reds had two chances one in the 8th with the tying run on base and with one out and runners at first and second base in the 9th to no avail. The Reds are really struggling to score runs lately.
Also Joey Votto is continuing to undergo tests to figure out what is causing his dizziness. I think it is very likely he goes on the DL by the end of the week as they try an figure it out. At the same time, the Reds have been very slow at placing players on the DL this season and are tending to give them time before making the move. If they do make the move, look for Gomes to get the call up.
