Sounds like the Reds may be getting Josh Fogg for one year at around 1 million. That sounds like a very good move for the Reds. The other day I said that the Reds should get Blanton. After much deliberation I decided that you should only make the deal if Homer or Cueto was not involved. These two have such potential it would be a shame to give them up for a guy like Blanton, not that Blanton is not good but there potential is better than he ever will be. So I like the move if the indeed did get Fogg.
The only downside is that if you look at the rosters below that means that someone will have to go from the 40 man roster and makes it less likely that they will get Lofton. They have said previously the problem with Lofton is he wants a big league deal and they don't have any spots for him on the 40 man. This move with Fogg would eliminate somebody from the 40 man.
Also, I will get to this later this week when I preview the potential starters for the Reds but it is getting awfuly crowded. I just worry that the young guys aren't going to get the chance they deserve.
