My Thoughts.... Many Bengals fans bashed Sam Adams last season for being unfit and not really being a factor. I thought Sam was a huge factor once he was in shape towards the ends of the season. He did not have a ton of tackles or sacks but what I saw, was a defensive tackle that was being double teamed and really allowing other Bengal defenders to be free to make a play. When I first saw Sam Adams play in person, I was at the Bengals vs. Bills game when Adams and the Bills beat up the Bengals who were already on their way to the playoffs. In that game it was incredible to see just how quick Adams is when the ball is snapped. We saw that at times this season and more of it was seen towards the end of the season when he was finally in shape. It's a shame that the Bengals gave up on him because if he could come to camp in shape he would have had a huge season this coming year. You may disagree but you have to admit when he was playing his best he required two blockers on him and freed up the linebackers.
